Brazilian Aerobatic Championship 2014 from Plinio Lins on Vimeo.

Between July 30th and August 2nd, Brazilian National Aerobatic Championship took place at the Brazilian Air Force Academy (AFA), home of the Brazilian Air Force Aerobatic Demonstration Team - “Esquadrilha da Fumaça” (Smoke Squadron), and also home of the squadrons responsible for the early instruction of Air Force’s young cadets. This was possible after a partnership between CBA (Brazilian Committee for Aerial Competitions and Aerobatics) and officers of Brazilian Air Force. In this event, second one organized by CBA, one of the highlights was the presence of Mr John Gaillard, from South Africa, Chief Judge of WAC 2013.

Airplanes Look Like Epic Shooting Stars in The Air Traffic 2!

Airplanes Look Like Epic Shooting Stars in The Air Traffic 2! from Milton Tan on Vimeo.

Shot in the restricted runway area of Singapore Changi Airport.
Ever wondered what it's like in one of the busiest airports in the world? With a flight landing and taking off almost every minute during peak hours, it can get pretty insane.
Shoot a timelapse of that, and you get transported to a sci-fi world with shooting stars breaking into the atmosphere.
This was shot mostly in the restricted runway area of Singapore's Changi Airport and the surrounding public areas for some scenes. I was so close to the planes that my cameras literally got shaken by the rumbles from the jet engines - Which actually produced a pretty neat effect. (See 2:13)

UTair Aviation 767-300 NEAR MISS? GO AROUND at Barcelona-El Prat

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1N5THRSp4hM?rel=0]
Yesterday, early in the morning...What you see is what happened.

An UTair Boeing 767-300 (VQ-BSX) incoming from Moscow as UT5187 and Aerolíneas Argentinas Airbus A340-300 (LV-FPV) were involved into what could be the bigger disaster of Barcelona Airport.

The Utair 767 was about to land on Runway 02 while the Argentinas was crossing the runway.

By the time russian pilots sights Argentinas (they were taxiing to Holding point of RW25R for take-off) on runway while they were on final approach, they do their best making an impressive and close go around.

After that incidence the plane landed safely on runway 02, and the Argentinas took-off heading Buenos Aires

Hopefully nothing happened and I can say I'm alive.

I hope you enjoy the video, Greetings from BCN,
Miguel Ángel.

After V1

[vimeo 99793338 w=640 h=360]

After V1 from Cesar Meloni on Vimeo.

In aviation, V-speeds are standard terms used to define airspeeds important or useful to the operation of all aircraft.
V1 is the critical engine failure recognition speed or takeoff decision speed. It is the decision speed nominated by the pilot which satisfies all safety rules, and above which the takeoff will continue even if an engine fails. The speed varies among aircraft types and several factors such as aircraft weight, runway length, wing flap setting, engine thrust used and runway surface contamination.
V1 is defined differently in different jurisdictions:
The US Federal Aviation Administration defines it as: V1 means the maximum speed in the takeoff at which the pilot must take the first action (e.g., apply brakes, reduce thrust, deploy speed brakes) to stop the airplane within the accelerate-stop distance. V1 also means the minimum speed in the takeoff, following a failure of the critical engine, at which the pilot can continue the takeoff and achieve the required height above the takeoff surface within the takeoff distance.
Let´s say that this project is "an artistic definition" of what happens after V1 flying MD80 and Embraer 190 for Austral Lineas Aereas.

The Air Traffic

[vimeo 55347966 w=640 h=360]

The Air Traffic from Milton Tan on Vimeo.
Like fireflies at night, or cars drifting over invisible roads in the sky. It’s simply amazing to see what airplanes look like when flying at night when shot at long exposures!
The Air Traffic is a personal timelapse project which I shot over a period of about 6 months.
One night while shooting a timelapse of lightning going off in the sky during a storm from my living room's window (00:18), I noticed little streaks of light moving across the frame.
Living about a 10-minute drive away from the airport, the streaks of light were none other than airplanes flying to and from the airport. Then it struck me - To do a whole timelapse short film dedicated to airplanes flying at night.
Some of my favorite shots were captured when I got really close to the airport's runway where airplanes take off and land. That was where I managed to capture some pretty huge streaks of light as the airplanes got really close to ground level and ready to land.
The streaks of light are long exposures of the airplanes flying, about 8-15 seconds. Most of it was shot at Changi Beach in Singapore.

LIFT (Amelia flies again) from INCITE Productions on Vimeo.

INCITE Productions is honored and proud to be able to partner with The Amelia Project in the telling of her story. Amelia Rose Earhart has been on a long journey that has lead her to this moment of flying around the world. We created this piece to shine a different light on Amelia. It’s so easy to get caught up in her name or her looks, but I would say these two things aren’t even the start of the story. Amelia is a fiercely driven, kind, and sweet person. She is very warm and instantly makes you feel like a friend. Our hope at INCITE is that more people can encounter Amelia and be a part of this crazy journey that she is on. We wish her all the luck in the world, however we have a feeling she won’t need any luck with her passion and determination.

Air-to-Air Photoshooting Yak-3 from Classic Aircraft Displays on Vimeo.
A small Clip about an Air-to-Air Photoshooting with Yakovlev Yak-3, operated by Classic Aircraft Displays (.com)!

Yakovlev Yak-3

The Yakovlev Yak-3 (Як-3) was a World War II Russian fighter. Robust and easy to maintain it was much liked by pilots and crew alike. It was one of the smallest and lightest mainstream combat fighters used during the war. With a high power to weight ratio it had excellent performance and was a formidable dogfighter. Marcel Albert the top scoring WW II French ace who flew the Yak 3 in the USSR with the Normandie Niemen group considered it a superior aircraft to both the P51 Mustang and the Supermarine Spitfire.

The Yak-3 represented the culmination of Alexandr Sergeevich Yakovlev's development of lightweight fighter types during the Second World War. As such, it was designed as a short range, agile interceptor to gain control of local airspace during the great Soviet offensive operations of the last two years of the war. The Yak-3 entered service in 1944 and had such an impressive rate of roll, turn and climb that German pilots were instructed not to engage these fighters below 5000 m. Overall, 4848 Yak-3s were produced.

The Bombardier CSeries aircraft  contains a high usage of composite materials and larger windows. The CSeries cabin features large, rotating overhead storage bins, allowing each passenger to stow a sizeable carry-on bag overhead. Compared to the cabins of current in-service narrowbody aircraft, the CSeries is to provide airlines with the highest overhead bin volume per passenger and a wider aisle that would allow for faster boarding and disembarkation of passengers.
The CSeries aircraft contain 70% advanced materials comprising 46% composite materials and 24% aluminium-lithium which allows for a 15% lower seat-mile cost and a significant reduction in maintenance costs. Computer software design tools were used on the project, including CATIA, HyperSizer, and similar technology that was employed in the Learjet 85 programme.
